Our desert waits still

How should we write of illusions

Lingering in the backyards of

Our slipped stories of love

That tried to connect continents

Destined for lives of islands

Growing as piles of mud

Surrounded by deep deep water

Just water

Seas die too

We are irrecoverable now

We are pink moons no longer existing

In the song of a dead guitarist

Of another time

We are torn pages never read

All grand stories of love end

But

Our desert waits

Still
