A Mystery Story in the Making. What happened here, and whose balloon is that, and who made a call?
My faithful Muse, Lucy the Cat, in a nice tight curl on a chilly Fall day. Pastel, pencil and ink.

There are some blank pages in my sketchbook for the Brooklyn Art Museum Traveling exhibit that I will use for writing something about the book and the subjects. But I have about finished the graphic parts. It IS a sketchbook, after all, I tell myself. They are sketches, nothing more.

I have so enjoyed doing this project — and it went day to day during some of the most wildly newsworthy days of the year, with hurricanes, nuclear threats, earthquakes and the drama on the political front. It was wonderful to bring some friends along (you friends on medium.com) with my journey through these now fairly battered pages.

What happens next will be interesting to find out. The deadline for notebooks are well into 2018 and so the subject, by then, will be “cold” on medium. But I will probably have some comments at some time when I find out how the book is received and where it goes.

Thanks for keeping me company.
