We have done it all, in many different positions
stared at ourselves, dodged mirrors to strike
connections of vulnerability
We have talked with all voices, trusted at least one of them
to contain us even if we could not
every single echo returning
with a differently shaded silhouette
We have done it all — the worn-out crumbling
the hopeful staring in the distance
the resigned shouldering of silence
across the distances in each other
We have been all that — breath
made form, and more
