SAPLING #39 — Odin

My raven that once knew how to fly high, is looking up in longing at the skies where the clouds are gathering.
Odin is waiting, in vain, for news.

My raven is standing guard.
When I call her, she looks at me quietly, tilting her head. She doesn’t dare approach.
When she ruffles her feathers, old dust whirls, and the light within her shines bright for a moment.
Sometimes she laughs.

When I wake up, I see her sitting there, looking at me. As soon as I move, she flies off.
I have never seen her when she sleeps; I don’t climb trees.

Saplings are creative sprouts. I will write to the images, he will draw to the words.
