Schedules and Fridge Doors-Again
It’s been many a year since I have had to post schedules of various sports teams on the fridge. Once adorned with soccer, track, hockey, wrestling, and cross country schedules from school and college days, the refrigerator bulletin board has been pretty much empty since the kids have left home.
Now only having my own scraps and notes stuck to it, you know the usual suspects — shopping lists, to do lists, reminders of what not to forget, a few photos of family, the furbabies and an every now and then announcement for a theater performance by my daughter or an art exhibit announcement for the son.
Thought that maybe, grandchildren’s activities would eventually get on the door, but being there are no grandchildren yet, spaces remain vacant — until recently as a nice size space became vacant no more.
So tomorrow evening, I will be cheering #87 on, and learning about a new sport not familiar to my prior experiences. Yes, this mom will be screaming and cheering once again, for my daughter, who will, for that moment, be known as Barasuda . Roller Derby here comes her mom!
