The Book of Life
Lurking within sight of all that is good is that which is not and that which is not is sorely misunderstood.
We are given part of a story, of our origins and purpose.
Many believe the story without question and without question they suffer.
The story that includes suffering as a constant companion in life is poorly written.
There is a different story, it explains life, not in terms of suffering and torment, but a journey of happiness and fulfillment.
The story of suffering has its rightful place, it explains what happens when the acquiring of objects, of money and power become the primary goal of life.
When I read the story of suffering, something feels dreadfully out-of-place and all too soon, the chapters are hopelessly depressing.
But, the story of happiness and fulfillment refresh me and as I close the book, I am left feeling optimistic.
Lurking within sight of all that is good, and all that is bad, is that which understands them both.
