The World’s Oldest Father
Ramjit Raghav. He originated from Uttar Pradesh but moved down south after a family dispute.
Ramjit Raqhav now 101, fathered his first child when he was 94. He and his
wife wanted a companion for the first born, and two years later, aged 96 his 56 year old wife Shakuntala Devi was delivered of a second one.
Ramjit attributes his virility and longevity to vegetarianism and an active life on the fields. He lives on vegetables, grains, almonds and milk. Shakuntala says that she stayed with him because they had sex 3 or 4 times a day. Sometimes all night long. As a young man he was a wrestler, but became a farm hand. He had been with his wife for 23 years, but she walked out of him with the boys after the second birth, leaving him forlorn.
He claims to have lost heart now, but he is still going strong at 101.
