This coming week will be our annual trek to Debordieu Colony in South Carolina, where we’ve been going every year (minus 3 pandemic years) since 1997. It will be our second year in a row after the 3 year break in the tradition.

This was probably around 1999 or so — another century.

Last year we were still a bit tentative about going, but we decided it was time to get out again, so we went. This year, it’s back to being just what we do — a time to come together with family, to be with those who know me best, and longest. A time to be a part of the clan I am so fortunate and proud to be a part of. I can’t wait to be on the road, come Saturday morning.
