To Sepia, I Turn

Random photo scavenged from tin cubby @ Jinxed, Philadelphia-Mother’s Day 2017

Sometimes, just for fun and folly

I gaze at random old photos

like Rorschach inkblots.

Hey…We all have our hobbies.

Last week, I found this one in an old metal bin

And it only cost a dollar.

I saw pain, fear and detachment.

This week, same photo,

(at no extra charge)

a glimmer of a smile

peeked out and over

that mysterious, dark, turned

and unknown shoulder.

The object,

is to now erase

that little kid’s

furrowed brow.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
