Trump probably does not believe it, but has said the “Brits like me very much”. I know 3 people who do. Nigel Farage, Piers Morgan and Katie Hopkins. Nigel Farage was once the leader of UKIP, and many believe that he was the one person without whom Brexit would not have happened. Piers Morgan is a journalist and TV presenter who supports Trump, because he met him and
they warmed up to each other. Katie Hopkins is known for advocating that migrants drowning in the Mediterranean should be left to drown. In my hometown of Edinburgh, people could be seen all morning carrying banners and posters denying that they “loved” the narcissist Trump. London Mayor (may his tribe increase!) allowed a Baby Trump blimp to go up over the skies of London to the amusement of millions of Londoners. People who watch the Late Show may have seen Colbert showing a much more grotesque figure being paraded in Brussels.
No American president has received such a cold welcome anywhere in the world.
