Void
Small yet endless
A void surrounds.
Hard and helpless
To look for a sound.
Call still, to get someplace
Not biting cold
Let alone solace.
Deafening parties
to dance along
the noise and sounds
Of meaningless songs.
Night after night banquets prolong
Yet there rests
same hopeless long.
The void speaks none
You shall ask and mull
And wail and lull,
But void can’t hear
And questions reappear.
Like the wars of old
Our history always told.
It moves closer
As night grows,
It gets larger
As time flows.
Noting to embrace
Neither to accept
It is there is
A wide blank percept.
Present or not
Extant in thoughts.
hope to walk along
Without imploding distraught.
