Sanju’s Twin was Trapped in His Stomach for 36 Years
The world’s first pregnant man
For over 30 years a local Indian farmer named Sanju Bhagat had been living with a bulging stomach that seemed like a massive abdominal tumor no different from a nine-month-old pregnancy. Constantly teased by many people in his community who referred to him as a "pregnant man", Sanju had managed to live with the abnormalities of his appearance, earning an honest living as a local farmer. Although as of then, not much was known about the real reason behind the size of his stomach, no one would have guessed that the teasing was not so far from the truth.
Sanju’s Story
Since his early years, Sanju had been known to have a little bit of a protruding belly. While this did not seem to be much of a concern initially, by the time he got to his early 30s he began to notice he had some breathing difficulties — as his stomach was starting to expand even more. Sometime in 1999, Sanju was rushed to the emergency ward as he had collapsed from exhaustion. Everyone including the doctors suspected it to be just an abdominal tumor but during the surgery, the doctors were shocked by what they found.
