We can’t get away from it; not that we want to. I mean, we need it for its life-giving properties, right? Plus, it’s beauty!

“Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Is there a humongous maple or elm tree near you? How can you use it in a story?

Or how can you use the animals who live in it or use it for their own personal playground? Yes, that’s it. It’s a playground for animals.

Write an idea for a story where a giant tree is a playground for squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and insects.

Or what about a river? Or a garden? What aspects of nature’s bounty can you use to give you an amazing story idea?

PROMPT: Go outside and find something in nature that makes you want to write a story.
