Submitting a Story to a Publication
There are no more open submissions to publication. To submit a published story or draft to a publication, the editors must make you a writer. If a publication would like new writers, they will include contact information on their homepage.
To design your publication homepage and add writers, read this post.
There are three ways to include your story in a publication:
- Be the publication owner
- Be an editor of the publication
- Be an invited writer for the publication. Your story must first be accepted by the owner or an editor.
To include your published story in a publication of which you are an editor or writer:
- Navigate to the post page and click the “Add to publication” button in the top center.

- A menu will drop down of available publications. You can also remove stories this way.
- If you are a publication owner or editor, your published story will automatically become part of the publication.
- If you are a writer for the publication, your published story will be submitted for review. The owner/editor can the accept or reject your story.
Remember: Stories can only be in a single publication at a time.
To submit your draft to a publication:
- Writers have the option to submit a draft to publication editors for review before they publish. The editor or owner can then edit and publish that story. Only an editor or owner can publish a draft into a publication.
- While your story is still a draft, click the “Add to publication” button in the top center of the post, and choose from the available publications.
- The owner and editors will be notified of your draft submission. They will then either reject your draft or publish it into the publication. Writers can not publish directly into the publication.
