Feature Updates: Toolbars, Menus, and Avatars!
Redesigned, revamped, and ready to rock
Our tireless team of talented technicians have just emerged from an intense session deep in the Design Bunker here at Medium HQ, and bring with them a new crop of upgrades to our editor.
When you are drafting a new story, press “enter” after your last sentence. You’ll now see this:


Watch as the tools for inserting an image, video, link, or page break roll out, ready to serve you.
Now, head back up top. What does that arrow in the right corner do?


Whoa. New sidebar menu…
From this menu you can:
- Publish to collections you own or edit;
- copy the link to your draft for sharing;
- review your revision history;
- submit a draft to collections for which you are a writer;
- delete the draft.
BONUS FEATURE:
You can now update your personal avatar directly on Medium. Go to your profile page, click the “Edit” button in the top right corner, and upload a new image into the avatar circle.
