The Rann of Kutch is a salt marshy land in the Thar Desert in the Kutch district of western Gujarat. It lies between Gujarat in India and the Sindh province in Pakistan.

Dholavira
The magnificent ruins of Dholavira throw light on Harappan culture and reveal the planning and architecture that maps the rise and fall of this magnificent civilisation. Located on an island surrounded by the Greater Rann of Kutch, the remains of Dholavira are an example of the marvels of hydro-engineering mastered by the ancient.

The abandoned roads through the salt lake lead to this least known place, north of the Salt Desert. The place is untouched from regular tourist and is really a remote location that lacks even the basic necessities like Fuel, ATMs etc. Also, there is just one option for food available at the place i.e. the government approved restaurant.
