The village Bhangarh is famous for its historical ruins and said to be one of the most haunted historical places in the world. Its around 4–5 hours drive away from Delhi between Alwar and Jaipur.

There are said a lot of stories about the mystery of this place, where the roof of every home inside the fort was lost while the remains of walls still remain intact and as they say, the 7-storey palace was reduced to 4.

The fort is maintained by Archeological Survey of India
Entrance to the Fort

This is the main entry to the fort. There lies a Hanuman temple just next to the gate. However, as per the instructions, the gate opens at sunrise and is closed at sunset, there is no clear boundary wall to the fort and therefore there exist to many ways to jump inside during unusual hours.

This is the corridor that leads to the fort. The structures are assumed to be the homes or the shops inside the fort when people used to live inside it.

The fort lies just next to the Sariska National Park and therefore in the reach of wild animals. Also, its a home to hundreds to monkeys and langurs who live inside the ruins.

While the place is barren most of the year, it turns lush green and beautiful during and just after the monsoon. Possibly, this is the best season to visit the place.
