Introducing Our New Website

The original website for The Student Food Project was launched in Autumn 2016. We built it with an online website builder, it wasn’t responsive and every recipe had to be added manually. It was only ever intended as a temporary solution to help us validate our product. Nearly a year later, it was time for a serious upgrade.

Our new look for thestudentfoodproject.com

The New Website

It took about 3–4 weeks to design and build our new website. We’ve been working hard to add a CMS, better navigation, a blog, comments sections, e-commerce (you’ll find out why soon), online payments, embedded videos, responsive design, live chat and more. Most of this would seem fairly basic to experienced web developers — but since our team are new to code, it was quite a challenge!

Many of these features aren’t currently active on the site, but they’ll be coming soon as our business model develops. We’ll be adding more recipes, resources and content to the site over the next few weeks. Next challenge — a mobile app!
