The Student Food Project Raises Seed Funding Lead by the University of Portsmouth
We’re excited to announce that we’ve closed our initial seed funding round lead by the University of Portsmouth and Santander Universities. This marks a big milestone for us and we’re looking forward to taking the next step to improve student food.
We plan to use the funds to help us grow the project and develop new products, as well as expanding our core team.
Founder of The Student Food Project, Alex Harvey said “Securing this funding is hugely important in allowing us to continue to grow. We’ve got big plans for the future and we’re really happy that Santander and the University are supporting us.”
The funding was part of a programme run by nest (the University of Portsmouth’s enterprise department) which invited students and graduates to pitch for seed funding for their ideas.
