Greetings author,

Welcome you all to the last-day prompt of the theme “Procrastination”.

“Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination: never put off till tomorrow what you can do today”.

-Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield

Thanks for being with me in the journey of beating Procrastination. This is the post about a quick review of 6 day prompts.

The first-day prompt was about finding you're ‘why’.

Why you are procrastinating?

Here are the common causes of procrastination that will help you to find your reason for procrastination.

Once you find you're why now it’s time to work on it. The first step of beating procrastination is to set your goals. Goals give you direction. If you want to make your path, you have to make goals.

“Procrastination is like a credit card: it’s a lot of fun until you get the bill”.

-Christopher Parker

Here’s the post that will help you to know the benefits of setting your personal goals.

Motivation is an important factor in beating procrastination. Without motivation, it will be hard to start working.

Different kind of motivation works for different people. You have to find your motivation. This post will help you to find your kind of motivation.

When you finish making your goals, you have to set your priorities. What kind of goals do you want to fulfill first. In your priorities lists, mention the important and hard tasks first and easy at the end.

When you have all things ready, motivation, goals, and priorities. It’s time to remove all the distractions from your life. Which are the things that consume most of your time and keep that thing away from yourself whenever you are working on your goals.

Once, you have started working on your goals. It’s time to track your progress. Tracking your progress will help you to achieve your goals.

After finishing these 6 steps of the process, you have to repeat the same process on your tasks. You may be procrastinating on your studies or your fitness. Use these 6 steps of the process on any kind of work. It will help you to achieve your goals.

Today’s prompt is,

Describe your daily life tasks where you have applied or can apply the knowledge of the previous 6 prompts. If you would like, create a template for yourself to keep you in the process of beating Procrastination.

Now, it’s time for a bonus tip.

Bonus Tip:- Never make long-term goals, if you have just started working on yourself. Make daily goals and try to stick to them. Don’t be greedy. Once, you did it successfully for some time, make weekly goals and then monthly goals. Never aim for perfection while beating procrastination, just give your best try.

“Perfectionism and procrastination have such a fine line. You say, 'Well, I want it to be good. I want it to be perfect.' But what you’re really doing is not doing your work. You’re putting off showing up and being visible because then you’re going to be judged, and it might suck”.

-Jen Sincero
