What is Swamp Hag Gang?

What started as a joke on a group chat between myself and friends Ashley Rose and Anna Acosta last year grew into a passion project spurred on by the phrase, “Imagine a world where women feel safe.” The Swamp Hag Rag is only a fraction of what we have planned.

Are You a Swamp Hag?

We’ve modeled ourselves on the image of the witch- the much-maligned woman of literature and pop culture who dares to take her fate into her own hands.

We’re looking for dark humor, new twists on old folklore, subversive beauty articles, poetry, photo essays and anything else your creepy, beautiful minds can think up. We welcome lady-writers of all shapes, sizes, colors and orientations.
