Morning light streams in

Crisp cool air, birds chirp, leaves gleam

Hope and joy begin

Features of a Haiku poem;

1 There are no more than 17 syllables.

2 Haiku is composed of only 3 lines.

3 Typically, first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third has 5 syllables.

4 It is a short, unrhymed poem

5 A Moment in time, an enlightenment
