Tabernacle Historical Society will host its annual Strawberry Social on Saturday, June 11, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Tabernacle Town Hall on 163 Carranza Road.

The Strawberry Social features fresh Tabernacle strawberries served with generous helpings of homemade cake and covered with whipped topping. Hot dogs, coffee, ice tea and water will also be available for those who want a little lunch before enjoying dessert.

The Tabernacle Historical Society maintains and preserves three historic structures in the township: The Knight-Pepper House, the Friendship School and the Tabernacle Cemetery buildings and arch. In addition they preserve artifacts, documents and photos that highlight the history of the community.

There are projects that are being planned for maintenance and improvements at the buildings as well as to enlarge the educational role of the society. The Society is in need of more volunteers to help make these projects a reality.

All are welcome to the Strawberry Social and to the monthly meetings of the Historical Society held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Tabernacle Town Hall. For more information call (609) 268–1255.
