Burlington County College to hold showcase Thursday, Aug. 14
Burlington County College is inviting all families and community members to explore what the college can offer through interactive science, criminal justice and arts exhibits as part of an end-of-summer showcase next month.
Burlington County College’s Community Showcase will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, on the Mt. Laurel campus to celebrate the outstanding programs the college offers to community members of all ages.
The showcase will feature hands-on programming for all ages, including:
- A crime scene set up by the criminal justice program
- Hands-on marine science stations
- Culinary arts demonstrations
- DNA testing on strawberries
- Soccer clinic taught by some of the best community college players in the country
- Student undergraduate research project presentations — testing for West Nile Virus and mercury levels.
“We are very excited to welcome the community and showcase some of the outstanding programs and instruction we offer for community members of all ages — from toddlers in swim classes to adults looking to gain a new career skill or personal enrichment,” interim President David Spang said. “This is a great opportunity to spend a fun afternoon with your neighbors at Burlington County College.”

Events will be take place indoors and outdoors, weather permitting, and will include music, entertainment and high-tech science equipment.
