Burlington County shredding event is Oct. 23
Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield announced that the next paper shredding event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Resource Recovery Complex located at 22000 Burlington-Columbus Road in Florence.
“This popular event drew over 500 residents earlier this month,” said Sheriff Stanfield. “We are proud to offer our residents another opportunity to dispose of their confidential documents in order to keep their family’s identity safe.”
This free shredding event will allow residents to shred files such as bank and credit card statements, tax returns, papers with account numbers or social security numbers. Residents are urged to bring only “confidential” documents for to be shredded on-site.
“Our staff will be on hand to unload your car for you convenience, so you won’t even have to leave your vehicle,” said Sheriff Stanfield.
The County asks that residents NOT include binders, plastic folders, computer disks or credit cards. Up to four bags or boxes per car will be accepted. Already-shredded paper can also be recycled at this event.
“Shredding is a great way to dispose of sensitive documents in an environmentally friendly way,” concluded Stanfield.
