Tax bill delay
The following message comes from Tabernacle Township.
The 2012–2013 tax bills have been delayed in mailing as the Tabernacle Township Tax Office has not received their official tax rate. We are waiting for Burlington County to pass their budget. Residents are being advised that when tax bills are mailed, a 25 day extension from the date of the mailing will be given to make their third quarter tax payment.
Residents should look for the deadline date on their tax bill and the front of the envelope. No further extension will be given past this date without tax penalties.
For more information on the tax bills, visit http://www.townshipoftabernacle-nj.gov/index.php?p=taxcollector.
Residents are being advised that due to this extension, the fourth quarter payment due by November 10 will be due in a shorter period of time than normal. Failure to make payment of all outstanding taxes by this date will result in an automatic placement in tax sale.
Residents who wish to make an estimated amount toward the third quarter tax payment may do so and the credit will appear on the tax bill. If the amount still has an outstanding balance, residents will have the 25 day extension to make the payment.
