YMCA to hold food and wine fundraiser

The YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties, in partnership with Canal’s Bottlestop located on Route 70 in Marlton, will host the Third Annual Wine & Food Classic on Friday, Nov. 2 at Tavistock Country Club.

The annual Wine & Food Classic benefits the Y’s Community Support Campaign that provides services to children and families in Burlington and Camden counties, regardless of their ability to pay.

Sponsors for this year’s event include Virtua, Canal’s Bottle Stop, Boomerang, Pro Computer Service, TD Bank, Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, Taylor Rental, South Jersey Magazine, Burlington Press, Thomas Edison State College, Bollinger Insurance and PSEG.

Guests will enjoy over 700 hand-selected premium wines and food selections prepared by South Jersey’s finest chefs from local restaurants including Braddock’s Tavern, Sensational Host Caterers, Silver Diner, Smoky Mutt’s Southern Barbecue, Burlington County College Culinary Center, Vitarelli’s Restaurant & Catering and Mother’s Kitchen.

Celebrity Chef Townsend (Tod) Wentz, executive chef at McCrossen’s Tavern in Philadelphia, and formerly of The Fountain Restaurant at the Four Seasons, Lacroix at The Rittenhouse and Twenty21, will also be on hand serving up delicious culinary creations.

Regular admission tickets are $100 per person or $75 for YMCA of Burlington & Camden Counties and Tavistock members. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. A limited number of tickets are also available for a V.I.P. Reception, which begins at 5 p.m. and features premium wine and menu selections. V.I.P. Reception tickets are $175 per person, or $150 for YMCA of Burlington & Camden Counties and Tavistock members, which also include admission to the event.
