Seven rules to follow in “Clubhouse”
Many of you would have probably seen my various posts on “Clubhouse”. It’s been 19 days since I got on the platform, and I must admit, it’s been a very fun experience. I’ve connected with industry experts and moderated rooms with topics that I’m passionate about. What’s more, I had a conversation with a “celebrity” that I actually follow.
On the flip side, it’s been quite an addictive experience and quite honestly something that you could spend hours on without knowing it. I guess that’s the same with other social media platforms.
As I interact with many of you outside Clubhouse, and getting all of you onto the platform, one of the most exciting parts of the experience is actually unmuting that mic, and taking that first step in engaging with the audience in the room. For those who had someone to welcome you onto the platform, it’s a simple 1 to 1 or maybe a small group experience. For those who just plunged into the deep end but joining a room with hundreds if not thousands of participants, speaking out for the first time or even any time, can be a daunting experience.
I thought it would be a good idea to do a short article on some etiquette on speaking in “Clubhouse”.
