Aeotec hub is awesome! Now you are wondering why I said that. Wait, I will explain. I recently bought an Aeotec hub for my smart home and you won’t believe what I’m saying. I was really surprised to see how the device works.

That’s why I thought I should share that experience with you. Let’s get started!

Integrated your smart home with Aeotec Smart Home Hub
Aeotec Smart Home Hub

Simply put, the Aeotec Smart home hub is a one-stop shop for your smart home needs. It works with various devices like Z-Wave and Wi-Fi devices. And it handles voice commands from Alexa and Google Assistant, working with Aeotec Smart home hub is also very easy for you.

Aeotec Smart Home Hub Design and Installation

There are two very important modules inside this (Z-Wave and Zigbee). Between the two, stand-alone sensors, lights and other smart devices are covered for a large part.

You can connect to this device via Wi-Fi. But the Smart Home Hub has an Ethernet port on the back. So, I prefer to use the ethernet. But Wi-Fi is a good backup if you don’t have your router nearby for a physical cable.

The Hub doesn’t really need a battery backup. Once it’s powered up, you use the SmartThings app to add the Hub to your account. In this step you should select the Hub as an Aeotec model instead of Samsung, but the installation is the same as for the V3 Hub.

Then you can proceed to the installation process.
