  • It has no limits to smart homes.
  • Very reliable.
  • Secure Connectivity.
  • No need for apps and hubs.

Control IKEA Devices with Matter

I connected my Dirigera bridge to the Matter Hub, so the access to all my connected devices is pretty straightforward.

I did notice that there is a tiny difference in the collection of device-centric features between the Matter app and the IKEA app. Apparently, that is due to the low range of features Matter includes as an up-and-coming standard.

What IKEA Devices Work with Matter

Vindstyrka Air Monitor

So, I already spoke about the IKEA Home Smart App and the Dirigera Hub which works with Matter. IKEA’s Vindstyrka Air Monitor also works with Matter. Let me elaborate.

The Vindstyrka Air Monitor is a matter-controlled indoor air quality monitor. It is equipped with a large display and works with the IKEA Smart Hub. I paired the air monitor with the Matter-ready Dirigera devices so that I can check the status on my phone.

Conclusion

When Matter was announced, people had huge hopes, which was not all met, but it made some things easier. With the Dirigera Hub you can easily control your smart devices.
