China is Fighting Against Smog with A Giant Mist Cannon!

Don’t get scared with the size and the action of this gun, it’s a Giant Mist Cannon named “Mist Buster,” in the sense that it can fight against smog for the people of China. It is at the preliminary start-up stage in the city of Zhangjiakou in Hebei province. Then it will be spread all over the Chinese Province.

The city is experiencing pollution that can cost them serious flu and other fatal diseases. This cannon looks dangerous, but this is the best way the Chinese government could tackle the situation.

According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection, The People’s Republic of China,

“heavy air pollution was observed in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and its surrounding area as well as some parts of the central and western China, due to unfavorable meteorological conditions and firework and firecracker spree during the traditional Lantern Festival.”

The innovative way to deal with smog and other pollutants is water. Just because water particles easily dissolve with the dust and other chemical particles and it will then drain through to the rivers. So, it can create a misty weather, as well as pollution free air to the Chinese Province, though it started only in Beijing. The water particles, apparently, clamp together with the pollutants, and according to Ecoseed,

“cause natural precipitation that could help remove smog.”

This Giant Mist Cannon can fire up to 100 Meters far and 60 meters high ranged water sprays to eliminate the dust particles. Well, this may not feel like raining, but it will reduce the air temperature by 2–3 degrees as well. The cannon is fitted nicely over a Military truck to support the weight and the air pressure.
