iPhone 8 And iPhone 8 Plus Will Have OLED And Bezel-less Displays!

Maybe not this time or the next time, but the 2018’s iPhone 8 will come with OLED Displays with the stunning sharp edges and also have a high PPI. Japan’s Nikkei reported that the next iPhone 8 will feature the robust display configuration just after the release date of the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Well, this might seem pretty assured that the new iPhone 8 will have 3 new models, 4.7-inch, 5-inch, and the regular 5.5-inch display. We already experienced the AMOLED displays on Samsung phones and this might not exactly be new technology but it will be the new addition to the Apple products after the Apple Watch Series 1.

“The iPhone has been evolving and now it is switching from LTPS (low-temperature poly-silicon) to OLED panels,” Tai told students at Tatung University, his alma mater, during a ceremony in which he was awarded an honorary doctorate degree. “We don’t know whether Apple’s OLED iPhones will be a hit, but if Apple doesn’t walk down this path and transform itself, there will be no innovation. It is a crisis but it is also an opportunity,”

Well, most interestingly the report portrayed that Apple is looking for the new level of creation over their new displays (Wide Color Gamut or P3).

“We are now building a new [OLED] facility in Japan. We can make [OLED panels] in the U.S. too,” he said.

Previously we have seen that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 or the S7 Edge have already used the AMOLED display panels
