OnePlus 2 16GB No Longer Available In US And Europe

If you wanted to buy the OnePlus 2 16GB model, you may be in a tight spot. OnePlus has removed the cheapest model of the OnePlus 2 from its online UK, the US and European stores at the beginning of the week.

The 16GB OnePlus 2 costs £239/$329, however, the company’s seen more interest in the £289/$389 64GB version of the phone. So, if you are still interested in getting a OnePlus 2 in those countries, you will only be able to purchase the more expensive 64GB model.

However, the 64GB OnePlus is relatively cheap compared to other ruling smartphones like Samsung and Apple.

“According to feedback we have seen much greater interest in the 64GB version of the OnePlus 2 in North America and Europe, so we have removed the 16GB version from those store pages as of this week.”

A OnePlus spokesperson said.

Over a previous couple of years, the big smartphone makers have moved far from the low 16GB alternative since it essentially doesn’t give enough storage. It bodes well for a company such as OnePlus to join that pattern since it no more needs to make two distinct variants while augmenting benefits with its costlier 64GB model.
