Samsung’s First Soundbar with Wireless Speakers

Do you remember Dolby’s immersive Atmos audio system? Though Atmos is essential for a home theatre system, it is not viable for everyone. But Samsung thinks it has an answer. It’s launching the HW-K950, the first soundbar to include a pair of Atmos-capable wireless speakers in the box.

The 5.1.4-channel combo will give you immersive audio without consuming precious home theater real estate either. The company isn’t divulging pricing or shipping dates, but it’s reasonable to presume that the K950 will sit at the higher end of the price spectrum.

For its Radiant360, it has a few tweaks too. In addition to new colors and an improved touch interface, it’s trotting out new apps for both the Gear S2 and Gear S, a better Multiroom app and smart home functionality. Through the new speakers of HW-K950, Samsung is just trying to convince you that it is a good deal, so that you, at least, try them.
