Samsung Working on a New 8-Inch Tablet

Samsung is working on a new 8-inch tablet carrying the model number SM-T375S. The device has been certified by both Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) and the Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA).
The Bluetooth certification was issued on December 24th while the Wi-Fi Alliance certification was issued on December 16th. The tablet complies with the specifications of the Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802 .11n.

The tablet appeared on Indian import-export tracking site Zauba while two units of the new slate were shipped into India on December 7th for testing and evaluation.
According to the listing on Zauba, only its screen size is mentioned as 8-inches. Detailed technical data was not given.

The listing also notes that the tablets will be destroyed after going through the tests.
It has a $103 USD price tag on each one. While that won’t be the final price of the tablet, it does indicate that we are looking at a low-end model.

Prices around that level also indicate to low-end specs.
We can assume the device might have an 8-inch TFT display with a 1024 x 800 pixels’ resolution, a quad-core processor, and probably just 1 GB of RAM memory. Among other specs, we could have 8 or 16 GB space of internal storage + microSD card slot and Android Lollipop as default operating system.
No official word from Samsung has been heard. However, the tablet may arrive sometime in early 2016.
