Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact: Reduced Price in USA

Seems like, smartphones in the US market are always on the verge of price cuts. Recently, it is the Sony Xperia range. The new Sony Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact have received a price cut in the USA just a week after they were launched there. As Xperia Z5 has been slashed by $60, the Z5 Compact has got its price cut by $50.

Thus, the Xperia Z5 is now available for $539, while the Compact variant will now set you back $449. On one hand, Amazon is selling both devices at these reduced rates. On the other hand, Best Buy is only offering the discount on the Compact variant — the retailer doesn’t have the Z5 listed on its website.

According to the eagerly awaiting buyers, the phones are still very expensive. Some of them are demanding a little more price to be cut for them. But, what is different in the US market is that the company has not included the fingerprint sensor on its Z5 line of devices for the US. Sony has not disclosed the reason yet. According to the reports, it may be due to the logistics.

It’s always nice to hear the price of a great smartphone has gone down, whether or not people will buy the phone the way Sony wants them to remains to be seen.
