Watch Live Video Via Facebook

Just like me, you also want to watch any video live on Facebook. The social media has also decided to change its algorithm that will push the video streams to the top of your news feed. Facebook announced it after a few days of its Live Video feature finally rolling out to Android users which was available to iOS users since January.

Facebook’s Live Video feature is essentially a way for users of the social network to broadcast live video from their phones. From now on there is no need to download a separate app like Periscope or Meerkat — the feature is put into the main Facebook app itself. Also, users of the social network can watch those video streams right on their Facebook feeds.

It is not like that more and more people are watching live videos every day. It is still a concept Facebook wants to develop. It is also learning how to rank them for people in News Feed. Facebook Live videos are more likely to appear higher in News Feed when those videos are actually live, compared to after they are no longer live. People spend more than 3x times watching a Live video on average compared to a video that is no longer live. This is because Live videos are more interesting in the moment than after the fact.

Facebook Live is currently available for verified Pages and public figures using Mentions. But there is high possibility that other pages of the social media may not see the change because of this update.
