Announcing: Terminal Workspaces
Terminal Workspaces offer local companies a flexible, turnkey office space solution for technical teams in a high-quality, community-based environment.
For the past three years, Terminal has been known for helping companies like Hims, Bungalow, Eventbrite, Dialpad, Bluescape and others build skilled remote engineering teams. As a part of that process, we’ve built out some of the most beautiful offices that Vancouver, Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Montreal have to offer and created environments that inspire and support world-class technical teams. Outside of our offices, we’ve been active participants in the community: volunteering at hackathons, hosting Meetups, and most recently, launching a free speaker series featuring some of the brightest minds in tech. This week, we’re officially opening up our office space to local startups as a natural extension of our commitment to the tech communities where we live.
Announcing Terminal Workspaces.
We’re opening our premium offices to help the growing number of startups and tech teams in Canada that seek not only basic office space, but also the right engineering community and flexibility needed to thrive.
“Our goal has always been to form powerful tech-based transformational relationships. We started by connecting companies with the right talent, and now Terminal Workspaces is going to strengthen the community by providing a tech-focused space for teams to bond with other like-minded people and accelerate their growth by focusing on their core challenges.” — Luke Finney, Co-founder of Terminal
Terminal Workspaces are designed to help young startups and agile tech teams escape the noise and avoid the distractions that hinder productivity. Workspaces are equipped with high-speed wifi and wired internet, an abundance of meeting rooms, and custom areas intended to facilitate collaboration both in-office and remotely. Although our Workspaces are optimized so that teams can be as productive as possible, Terminal also provides Workspace members with access to a full calendar of social events like weekly catered lunches, happy hours, community volunteer outings, and professional development workshops, in addition to providing essentials like ample snacks and beverages needed to fuel great code. Flexibility is also a central attraction — teams can sign up to have as many or as few desks as they need on a month-by-month basis.
One of the first startups to partner with us in this endeavor is Faire — a company that aims to empower local retailers by changing how they demo and stock products. Faire’s CTO and co-founder, Marcelo Cortes, says that the choice to join the community was easy — it provides his team with an opportunity to be a part of a like-minded community versus just finding an office space.
“With Terminal we get the best of both worlds; our tech team gets to work in the same space as other talented developers and our operations team doesn’t have to lift a finger. Overall, we’re really excited to work here during this time of explosive growth for Faire and be a part of the Terminal community.” — Marcelo Cortes, CTO and co-founder.
