Underworld: Blood Wars Pushed Back to Jan 2017
Screen Gems and Lakeshore entertainment have announced via a press release that the release date for the upcoming Theo James and Kate Beckinsale sequel to the Underworld franchise, titled “Underworld: Blood Wars”, has been pushed back from its originally announced release date of October 14th, 2016 to January 6th, 2017.
With this new date we will see Underworld open the same weekend as “Amityville: The Awakening”. No specific reasons were cited for the delay. I can only infer that post-production has proven to be lengthier than originally planned with its originally, ambitious, release date in order to have the film out for Halloween.
What do you think about waiting three more months for Underworld? It’ll be worth it in my opinion to wait a few more months in order to get a better film. Remember, this one might be Theo’s last in the Underworld franchise.
