Butuan City PIO on Thursday announced Executive Order №14-A after the city, classified by the Department of Health (DOH) Caraga as ‘high-risk’ for COVID-19, via Facebook (@butuancitypioofficial).

The city’s Health Care Utilization rate, or particularly the availability of hospitals to accommodate COVID-19 patients, is also at a ‘high-risk’ level as the hospitals within the city start to decline new patients since capacities and facilities are at peak.

With the increase of reported cases in the previous weeks due to activities requiring mass gathering resulting to ‘super spreader events’ and the abovementioned complications, the city’s local government unit (LGU) created the EO consisting of the following guidelines:

1. To conduct a three-day color-coded quarantine pass whenever leaving home anew.

2. A curfew starting at 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.

3. Total liquor ban: 24 hours of no selling, buying, and consumption of intoxicating drinks.

4. Highly discouraged mass gatherings.

The said EO, 14-A Series of 2021, will start on May 28, 2021, 12:01 a.m. up to May 31, 2021, 11:59 p.m. or unless sooner lifted or further extended.
