Paghahanda kay ‘Ulysses’, mas pinaigting-Malacanang

Tiniyak ng Malacanang sa publiko na nakapaghanda ang gobyerno sa posibleng epekto ng hagupit ng bagyong “Ulysses”, dahil umano sa inaasahang matinding pinsala na dulot nito sa buong bansa lalong-lalo na ang parte ng Luzon.

Sa isang pahayag nitong Miyerkoles sinabi ni Harry Roque,presidential spokesperson, na nakapaglaan ng sapat na pondo ang kinauukulang gobyerno upang tugunan ang pangangailangan ng mga mamamayan sa bansa.

Siniguro din niya na mayroong bastanteng relief goods at gamot para sa mga komunidad na napinsala ng nasabing bagyo.

Nakipag-ugnayan na din ang National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council at local government units sa sumu-subaybay sa “Ulysses” para ma-monitor ang mga anunsyo at weather advisories tungkol sa bagyo.

“Remain Secure your houses and vehicles, cooperate with authorities when an evacuation notice is issued, postpone travels to avoid getting stranded and most of all stay indoors to avoid injuries from flying debris,” paalala ni Roque.

Patuloy pa din umanong magiimplementa ang Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration(PAGASA) at NDRRMC ng mga signal warnings at paalala para maging updated ang mga residente.

“However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness or response to disasters and calamities and/or performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services,” Ayon sa isang Memorandum Circular na pinalabas ng PAGASA.

Pansamantala ding sinuspinde ang klase sa lahat ng antas mapa-blended at modular learning man, kabilang na den ang trabaho, upang masiguro na ligtas ang mga mag aaral at guro.

“We must be pro-active, always ready. There is a strong possibility that the new typhoon will go the same path traversed by the previous two typhoons. Let us help the affected LGUs and protect their communities,” pahabol ng senado.
