In light of the recent rise of flu cases in the campus, the Philippine Science High School-Caraga Region Campus (PSHS-CRC) Curriculum and Instruction Division (CID), along with Campus Director Ramil A. Sanchez, approved the Student Council’s (SC) letter of appeal to move the deadlines for all subjects from January 17 to 21, in order to prioritize the health and welfare of all scholars and school personnel before complying the needed requirements.

Pursuant to Memorandum No. 2022–01–08 directed to the all teaching personnel, students, and SC officers, extension for Week 20 submissions will be granted until January 28, which is the last day of exams.

Despite the extension of deadlines, the schedule of the second quarter exams from January 26 to 28 will still proceed for all grade levels.

For scholars who wish to take the exams at a later date, an excuse letter with the parents’ or guardians’ signature, attached with a medical certificate or other documents, is required to be passed to the homeroom advisers.

The SC addressed the request due to scholars’ complaints about experiencing high fever and persisting cases of colds and cough, which made it difficult to cope up with the number of submissions in the week prior to the 2nd quarterly exams.

Over 266 scholars from all grade levels raised concerns about the health situation, 56 from Batch 2022, 37 from Batch 2023, 40 from Batch 2024, 54 from Batch 2025, 39 from Batch 2026, and 40 from Batch 2027; batches ’22 and ’25 had the highest number of complaints, while ’23 and ’26 had the lowest.
