A short summary of the latest news from the coins OptimusBlue.com is involved in.

Plenteum

Latest news from Plenteum is that they have been listed on another exchange, BISQ_network. More excitement is happening behind the scenes, WhassupZA, the lead developer of Plenteum was able to do his magic made CryptoNight Soft Shell compatible with pool mining. CN Soft Shell is the next generation of PoW algorithms introduced by Turtlecoin.

Other development news is DustFund V2, this will change the way it “stores” dust “on chain”and then a way to help the DustFund grow faster by taking a portion of the optional TX fees towards the fund and another portion towards the current miner.

MoX V2

MoX recently released V2. This came with a bit of a shocker since they had to start the chain all over again from block 1 after the MoX team discovered a serious issue with the old chain.

The MoX team put in place a 1:1 coin swap to accommodate for the new chain. If you still have not swapped your coins then please get in touch with the MoX development team for assistance.

What is new in MoX V2:

  • Proof-of-work adjustment to CNv8, with some additional tweaks of our own. This upgrade allows us to be the dominant coin of our PoW, making it more difficult to rent hash power to attack the network.
  • Bulletproofs are introduced as a scalability feature that will decelerate blockchain growth, improve user privacy and drastically reduce transaction fees.
  • Preliminary support for hardware wallets is included in the software upgrade.

What’s next for MoX

Branding — MoX will now focus on new branding staring in April with a new website as well as a new strategic marketing plan.
Wallets — More wallet options will also be available soon like a mobile wallet.
More — The MoX team will also start with a new experiment soon which they say will significantly set MoX apart from competing projects. Intrigued, so am I!

MASK V0.3.0.0 “Vide Eum”

MASK just released V0.3.0.0 of the daemon and wallet, the hard-fork is set to take place on block 180 000. This is indeed a very exciting development, “Vide Eum” or “I see it” in English.

What is new in MASK V0.3.0.0

  • Multi output Bulletproofs
  • POW change to CNFastV2
  • Masari’s SECOR Uncle Mining
  • Complete removal of the Mask Governance Fee

Removal of the Governance Fee is great since it means that miners will now be able to get all the rewards. This is surely exciting times for this project!

Masari

It has been fairly quiet on the Masari front in terms of official announcements. The biggest announcement from the team was in regards to MasariWallet, this is however a big development since most of the coding in regards to the protocols were written from scratch. This also means that all the bugs recently suffered in Monero and other cryptonote coins’ wallet are not present at all. The update also include Bulletproof support, a new fee computation system, along with a lot of minor fixes like menu, design, translations etc.

What’s next for MasariWallet

  • Ledger support with new design
  • subaddresses
  • possibility to connect to other nodes

Final words….

The crypto market is currently very dear, projects that can survive this market can survive anything! BTC was only able to break the $4000 mark recently, we can only hope that his is the start of something great.

Thank you for taking the time to read the first edition of the Thunder Mug Journal.
