How They Should Draft…

The Browns have two first round picks and they must draft smart and capitalize. This franchise has gone through draft after draft picking the worst players possible. A QB who starts a few games before being pulled or getting hurt, a CB who can’t guard and constantly gets called for penalties, and a RB who you think will be the next big thing, but surprise, is no longer on the team after his ability to play vanished. These are just a few of the many Brown’s prior moments of shame.

Already this year, rumors are floating around that the Browns are having trouble deciding who to select with the first overall pick. Trouble? What is the problem? Just take Myles Garrett and call it a night. Well, they’re thinking of taking Mitchell Trubisky.

Mitchell Trubisky may be a good QB, but he may not. He is not a lock to be a star like some guys are when they come out of college. Just like last year, we had two QB’s who the Rams and Eagles traded up for. Why? I don’t know. Those guys were true nobodies. I’m not sure why you would give up so much for QB’s who you aren't sure of. The Rams are now stuck with Goff who I believe cant play and the Eagles have some hope with Wentz, however, even he is iffy. Now, Trubisky is probably better than Wentz and Goff, but he is not worth the gamble at number 1 when Myles Garrett is sitting there with open arms. He is a pure star. Freak athelte. Top talent. Take him.

If I was the Browns GM or owner, I take Garrett. I have the 12th pick coming up. Go for Trubisky then. Most teams ahead of you wont be taking a QB. The only team that may take a QB are the Jets and it seems they like Watson. If Trubisky is taken, then oh well. Take another QB or draft someone else. No big deal. You got Garrett and didn’t blow another draft. You can also trade down using the 12th pick if your guy (lets say Trubisky) is taken or you can trade up using the 12th pick if you really want a certain guy (again, Trubisky).

They can control this draft with that 12th pick as it is in a really good spot. Make moves wisely. Lock up Garett and see what happens from there.

Another rumor that came up recently is they are looking at options to trade the first overall. Highly unlikely, but remains to be seen. It could be interesting if they want Jimmy G or possibly a crazier deal involing multiple teams and Richard Sherman. Again, this is doubtful, but will see as we get closer to draft night. Dont screw up Browns. Garett should be your number 1 pick.
