Isn’t the season going by fast!? It’s almost All-Star weekend and of course the Cavs and Warriors are in first and Westbrook and Harden are in a MVP race for the ages. But lets not talk about teams, this is about the All-Star game in Charoll……WAIT, my bad, New Orleans. Will Zaza be an All-Star? Will Lillard actually be voted in this year? Well here are our predictions:

East All Star Predictions:

Matthew:

STARTERS:

G: Kyrie Irving: the best point guard in the east playing for the best team in the east.

G: Isiah Thomas: small but mighty, he is FINALLY seen as a star and a leader.

F: LeBron James: I don’t have to say anything for this man.

F: Jimmy Butler: he is the only good thing about the Bulls (and they may trade him).

F: Giannis Antetokounmpo: the Greek Freak is an absolute beast. He is a 7'0 point forward that leads his team in every stat.

BENCH:

Paul George

Kevin Love

John Wall

Kemba Walker

DeMar DeRozan

Kyle Lowry

Kristaps Porzingis

Avi:

STARTERS:

  • LeBron James (obviously, I couldn’t pick just one highlight so I chose this even though it’s totally unrelated)
  • Isiah Thomas (hopefully, the guy is having a monster season and this may be his one chance to start)
  • Jimmy Butler (the guy is a beast, give it to him)
  • Kyrie Irving (seriously, even if he didn’t play a minute this year, this shot earns him a spot on all All Star rosters as long as he’s in the league, which will be a while)
  • Giannis (I’m not even gonna try to spell his name)

Bench

  • Kristaps (more as a “fuck you” to Melo than anything else, maybe KP making an All Star game will finally get the message across that Melo needs to start passing the mantle)
  • Embiid (this needs, and deserves, to happen)
  • Love (give him some credit for finally waking up after two years of hibernation)
  • (Do I have to?) Melo (More of a legacy pick than anything else. Also, who else is it really gonna be?)
  • Derozan
  • Lowry (I don’t watch Raptors games or highlights but I hear these guys are really good and they were entertaining to watch in the playoffs last year)
  • Wall (I kind of just hope he makes it as an apology for his crappy season, teammates and situation)

Brandon:

Starters:

G: Kyrie Irving (Extremely underrated)

G: Dwyane Wade (GOAT, needs to make it)

F: King James (Obviously)

F: Giannis Antetokounmpo (He can do it all. This kid is special)

F: Kevin Love (Looks like he will make it, but I rather Jimmy Butler)

Bench:

Isaiah Thomas, Demar DeRozan, Joel Embiid, Carmelo Anthony, Jimmy Butler, Paul George, Kyle Lowry

Benjamin:

Starters:

G: Isaiah Thomas, Boston Celtics- The tiny 5'9 has carried the Boston Celtics to the 3 seed. His speedy and crafty Thomas is averaging 28 points and 6 assists this season.

G: Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers- Irving has grown out of the “sidekick” role. The five year veteran is putting up 24 points a night, while dishing out 6 assists. He’s proven time in, and time out, that he take over any game.

F: LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers- The King. His 28/8/8 line is amazing. The scarier part is James has yet to go full “King Mode”.

F: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks- Similar to Thomas, the “Greek Freak” is leading his team. In every way possible. In points (23), rebounds (9), assists (6), steals (2), and blocks (2).

F: Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls- now with Derek Rose and Joakim Noah out of Chicago, Butler has finally inherited the Bulls as his team. With the help of veteran Dwayne Wade, Butler has quietly dominated the Eastern Conference.

Bench:

Kemba Walker, Charlotte Hornets

John Wall, Washington Wizards

Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors

Paul George, Indiana Pacers

Kristaps Porzingis, New York Knicks

Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks

Hassan Whiteside

Matthew:

STARTERS:

G: Russell Westbrook: the man averages a TRIPLE DOUBLE!!! He better be a starter or the league is just bull shit.

G: James Harden: leading him team to the 3 seed and the MVP right not

F: Kevin Durant: As much as this kills me to say it, KD has been amazing this year and is the best player on his team.

F: Kawhi Leonard: The two-time (and maybe 3 time) defensive player of the year WILL be a starter because a Spur player has to start.

F: Anthony Davis: This man is amazing to watch. He is the Pelicans and leads in blocks and second in points.

BENCH:

Stephen Curry

Chris Paul

Klay Thompson

Damien Lillard

DeMarcus Cousins

Draymond Green

Karl-Anthony Towns

Avi:

Starters:

  • Harden (This dude is unreal. The fact that Westbrook is averaging a triple double and Harden is still the front-runner for MVP says it all.)
  • Westbrook (No need for highlights, I’m just looking forward to seeing him and KD on the floor together again. So many questions: Will he address KD? Will he pass him the ball? Will he beam him in the head with the ball and act like nothing happened?)
  • Durant (I hate this guy for making me hate watching him. He’s so good and he’s only gotten better, I just can’t stand to watch that team).
  • Kawhi (Not for anything he’s done on the court, just for his performances in the Spurs’ HEB commercials)
  • Boogie (Just so I can watch this again)

Bench:

  • “The Brow” (I wish I could watch more AD, it just hurts me to see how bad his team is and watch him languish in the swamp like some pathetic gator whose squad constantly holds him back from accomplishing his dream of becoming a land-based predator)
  • Dame D.O.L.L.A. (this stuff is inspirational)
  • McCollum (I’m just upset that he’s been playing second fiddle this whole time and not getting the recognition he deserves. McCollum is really good and I hope he gets moved somewhere that lets him be THE GUY instead of Lillard’s sidekick.)
  • Draymond (Wait, we’re not picking FIFA All Stars?)
  • Steph Curry (I used both so I could link both my favorite videos)
  • Klay (Dude put up 60 in 29 minutes. Fuck Steve Kerr for not letting him go for the record. But whatever, he probably wasn’t “all there” at the time, if you know what I mean...)
  • Aldridge (The Spurs are sporting the second-best record in the league and Kawhi, as good as he is, isn’t doing it all by himself.)

Brandon

Starters

G: Russell Westbrook (No words except for unreal)

G: James Harden (No words except for unreal)

F: Kevin Durant (This guy is just amazing, despite his decision he is still an all star)

F: Kawhi Leonard (He is so good both offensively and defensively. Has to be a starter)

F: DeMarcus Cousins (Boogie is the man. He must start this game. Not Zaza)

Bench

Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, KAT, Chris Paul, Damian Lillard

Benjamin:

Starters:

G: Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder- What’s there not to say about the guy? Westbrook has been a simple monster since NBA opening night. Proving that he can do it all, Westbrook has taken over the Thunder. Averaging a Triple Double (31/11/11), he is in the midst of leading the Thunder to the playoffs.

G: James Harden, Houston Rockets- Everything Westbrook is doing, Harden is doing. Just with his left hand. After letting go of Dwight Howard last season, the Rockets truly became James Harden’s team. The Rockets are surprisingly sitting atop the 3rd seed of the Western Conference. All thanks to James Harden and his 11 Triple Doubles.

F: Kevin Durant, Golden State Warriors- This past offseason brought much hate towards the four time scoring champion and ’14 MVP for leaving the beloved Oklahoma City Thunder. However, Durant put his ear plugs in, and turned up his accelerator. Driving towards his best season, so far, Durant is reaching career highs in rebounds (9), and Field Goal Percentage (.537). This isn’t a morality check, this is the All Star Game, and KD deserves this start.

F: Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans- The Big Guy from ‘Nawlins is atop the league rankings in many categories. The only reason why this guy isn’t in the MVP discussion is because of the Pelicans lousy record.

F: Demarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings- The only way to describe Cousins is ridiculous. “Boogie” is doing it all for the Kings. Dominating the boards and big man game, Cousins is also killing it with his shot. He’s doing everything a coach could ask for, with similar results as Davis- a lousy a losing record.

Bench:

Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs

Steph Curry, Golden State Warriors

Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors

Damian Lillard, Portland Trailblazers

Chris Paul, Los Angelos Clippers

Karl Anthony Town, Minnesota Timberwolves

Lamarcus Aldridge, San Antonio Spurs
