Journalism is going through a vast amount of change — change so quick and so paramount that its implications are being felt in every part of the industry — from the people who are dedicating their careers to informing and educating the public, to the public themselves that consume the news. This is where The Tip Sheet comes in. On the pages of this publication, you’ll see analysis about the changes of the culture of journalism, conversations with journalists about their work and what it means to work in this industry, as well as the chance to explain to the public about their work. I hope that when all is said and done, this little project can help with the relationship between audience and journalist.

I’m Alex Veeneman, your friendly editor, and I want to hear from you so we can help make journalism better — for journalists and the public. (Photo by the author.)

However, The Tip Sheet is not a two way street — and that can only be done with you and your contributions and ideas in mind.

So, whether you’re a journalist wondering about the future of your craft, a member of the public wondering about how something was covered, or if you’re just curious about journalism and have a suggestion, I want to hear it.

Email me or send me a note on Twitter, and I’ll do my best to get back to you quickly.

Your thoughts and suggestions will help The Tip Sheet thrive, and along the way, I hope that together, we can do more than just chronicle the ever-changing culture of journalism — help make it better for you and the people you rely on to help you be informed, educated and engaged — my friends and my peers in national and local outlets near and far — journalists.
