During a discussion held by the Rights for Whites Club this past Wednesday, someone actually changed their mind. The discussion was centered on Kim Kardashian’s recent comment that “white people tend to have more pheomelanin than eumelanin,” which sparked outrage among the white community. After listening for a while, local junior Fred Erickson decided to change his mind on the issue. “I was just sitting there” Erickson describes, “and I suddenly had this incredible thought, ‘what if an opinion other than mine might be right?’ I felt like I had been hit by a lightning bolt; that concept had just never occurred to me before.”

Erickson is expected to win the “The Individual” core value award at Closing Ceremony, for exhibiting courageous and heroic individuality.
