Inspiring nature lovers with only “the good stuff”

The first trail mix I made was on a camping trip with Girl Scouts. The mom’s of the group each brought one ingredient for a customizable trail mix. Mine had mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, peanuts and Chex cereal — only the good stuff. The ingredients didn’t really shout hiking or nature or even health, but together they made up the fuel needed to inspire a 3rd grader to walk down a 4 mile trail.

This publication is meant to be a mix of the “good stuff” — inspirational stories, experiences, advice, and news for nature enthusiasts, climate activists, and granola girls. We love sustainable living, eating organically, using clean products, and caring for the planet we all call home. Positivity only. We have a pervasive problem in this country, and especially on Medium, of focusing on how the world is ending. Who does this help? If you like doom and gloom, check out CNN.

We need to inspire one another with our every day acts of sustainable living, conservation, and education. We need to help clean up our planet piece by piece. This is a place to share reviews of books, podcasts, and documentaries on Climate Change and Sustainability. A place to share your most touching National Park experience. A place to explain how you can advenutre more on less. And a place to share clean, whole food recipes, and beginner gardening hacks.

Let’s create a trail mix using only the good stuff — to inspire us and others, onto their trail, to doing planet saving, feel good, work.
