Why Can’t we be Friends?

It’s an extremely rare event that I choose to reject someone almost immediately. I really try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but there are certain instances where I’ll put as much distance between us as possible. To be fair, I know everyone does this. We all reject people who are of the most extreme viewpoints, but when some of those people exist within your community, that’s when things get mirky. You run the risk of becoming the cancer you’re trying to avoid in the first place.
