A guide to Canberra for those who are looking for something a little more Instagrammable than yet another roundabout.

Everyone knows that a millennial requires an extra level of attention when it comes to travel guides. Stuff like ‘where’s the best spot for my wine Insta’, or ‘which corner of my hotel room has the best selfie lighting’? You know, the important stuff. So I’ve put together a guide to Canberra for those who are looking for something a little more Instagrammable than yet another roundabout.

Here are my top spots for a Canberra getaway.

#1: Lunch at Pialligo Estate

If you’re driving from Sydney, you’ll probs arrive just in time for lunch… excellent timing! By far the most lust-worthy location for your spot of noms is the sprawling Pialligo Estate. On their usual menu, essentials include the extensive charcuterie board and Hirramusa kingfish ceviche to start, and a choice between the 18-hour slow-cooked lamb shoulder and the whole rainbow trout stuffed with garden herbs. (At the moment, they’re offering a set menu due to Covid restrictions.)

The most important thing, however, is that all the dishes look really good on those marble tables… #foodgoals.

#2: Kangaroos and wine at Mount Majura Vineyard
